Mission The Lassonde Engineering Society (LES) is a student run organization that represents engineering undergraduates in the Lassonde School of Engineering at York University. LES is governed by a student-elected Board of Directors that consists of 8 Executives, 7 Program Reps, 3 Associate Vice-Presidents and 4 First Year Representatives. We also run various committees that are integral to carry out various initiatives on behalf of our engineering student members.At LES, our mission is to provide services that enriches their engineering experience, as well as advocate on behalf of the student population to the faculty, school and our external partners. Throughout the year, we host various academic, social and professional development events. Our events portfolio ranges from pub nights, to the largest engineering competition in Canada, the York Engineering Competition.We are a proud member of the Canadian Federation of Engineering Students (CFES) as well as the Engineering Student Societies' Council of Ontario (ESSCO). These organizations represent the interests of engineering societies provincially and nationally, as well as provide an opportunities for engineering students across Canada to connect and collaborate.
