Mission
The BEST (Bergeron Entrepreneurs in Science and Technology) program supports entrepreneurial programs and initiatives at Lassonde focused on enabling engineering students to develop business skills and understand what it takes to launch a start up enterprise. BEST is a unique partnership with Lassonde School of Engineering, Schulich School of Business and Osgoode Law School. BEST offers various programs including the BEST Certificate in Technology Entrepreneurship, BEST Awards, International Experiences, BEST Series of Workshops, BEST Lab (that is a space where students can join to further explore their business ideas and get supports from the BEST Community) and much more.

The Department of Civil Engineering at Lassonde provides programs that have a balance between fundamental concepts and practical, industry-relevant engineering education.

Our curriculum gives you the flexibility to choose the direction and focus of your studies with a wide range of technical electives in structural, geotechnical, transportation, water resources, sanitary and environmental engineering.

Mission
To engage our community in the development of Lassonde's Strategic Academic Plan (LSAP). The LSAP is a key document that expresses a set of our priorities and goals for the coming five-years, and in which we express our vision and values for the future of our Faculty. This is a part of the University Academic Planning process and essential for Lassonde.

You will hear more from us, the Lassonde committee responsible for shaping this foundational document: Planning, Academic Resources & Research (PARR). We will attend departmental meetings, Town Halls, Faculty Councils and online forums in order to advertise and spread the word of this effort. We hope to reach and hear from as many community members as possible.

In the months following your feedback, members of PARR and the Dean's office will draft the LSAP. Following draft completion, the community will be given an opportunity to provide feedback that will then be presented to the community to seek input on the document. This feedback and appropriate edits will shape the final document late in the winter semester.

Future emails will provide more precise dates and action items for each member of the Lassonde community. Action on your part will take place in the coming weeks leading up to the winter term.
