Greetings Earthlings
Welcome to the Lassonde Satellite Club! The school year has begun and we are excited to kick off our club activities! Our first major project this year will be to continue design work on our satellite for the CSDC-5 competition. We will also be hosting skills workshops throughout the year to give you all a chance to learn professional software like STK, NX, and Altium. LASSAT will also have social events like movie and game nights this year.
All LASSAT activities like meetings, workshops, and the satellite design work will be fully conducted online for the time being. However, we still plan on giving everyone as much hands on experience as possible. We encourage members of all skill levels and backgrounds to attend the meetings, and start learning about satellites! Our community is friendly and open, and there is no such thing as a stupid question.
We look forward to a great year, designing and building a cubesat with you!
Meetings
Please fill out the survey in this email to indicate your availability (it will only take 5 minutes, I promise!). So that we can schedule a meeting time that works best for everyone.
The Lassonde Satellite Club (LASSAT) is an opportunity for students to get hands on experience designing Satellites. We are the York representative in the Canadian Satellite Design Challenge (CSDC).
Satellite design is multidisciplinary, and we have diverse team members of all skill levels and backgrounds. LASSAT is open for any student to get their hands dirty and learn about cubesats.
